I got started!

The theme I chose for my sketchbook is Down Your Street, which seemed to be a nice story prompt. I have only a vague idea so far of where the story is going, but I thought I’d share it as it evolves.
For the entire project, I’m using Prismacolor colored pencils and outlining with a Marvey scrapbooking pen. (Hooray for stashes from college design classes and my paper scrapping days!)

Aimee, these are absolutely, deliciously, stupendously gorgeous. I love having talented daughters. You are a fantastic artist. Your ideas are fresh, you know your strengths and skills and use them to the best advantage. I not only love you, but admire you. You are an inspiration and truly the wind beneath my wings.

LOVE this! I love it! I had never heard of The Sketchbook Project. Do they do it every year?
You are very talented, Aimee. I love your use of color and the simple, clean lines. I can’t wait to see more!

This is awesome Aimee! I love the idea. I thought for a fleeting moment, “that would be fun.” But, then my brain kicked in. I will have to catch it in SF, just so I can say I saw it on tour!
